Discussing the Future of Mobility at the Economy Middle East Summit
Recently, I had the opportunity to participate in the Economy Middle East Summit for an insightful discussion on where the automotive industry stands today and where it is heading.
The discussion highlighted where the UAE automotive market stands, how distributors and OEMs navigate uncertainty together, and what the next five years look like for mobility. My view hasn't changed: the UAE is consistently a step ahead. When conditions get difficult, the infrastructure, the diversification, the long-term planning all shows its value. For us, that translated into practical action, including moving vehicles via Etihad Rail to Abu Dhabi for the first time.
On the bigger picture, electrification is well underway. Autonomous vehicles are coming, but accountability and legislation are still catching up with the technology. That will take time, but should materialize in due course.
